Landing Pad Asia’s verdicts

Editorial recommendations, not sourced facts. Landing Pad Asia’s view, 2026-07-24. These reason only from the sourced facts above.

Best for most buyers

Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer (Gen 2)

The Ray-Ban Meta is the most practical choice for most Singapore buyers because it is officially sold here at SGD629 and combines a familiar iconic frame with capable camera, audio and AI features that work as a complete system. A display is absent, but the trade-off is a polished everyday experience with up to eight hours of typical battery life, 3K video capture, fast charging and a case that provides additional 48 hours of charge.

Best value

Oakley Meta HSTN

At SGD659 the Oakley Meta HSTN is only SGD30 more than the Ray-Ban Meta but adds IPX4 water resistance and a more sport-oriented frame with the same camera, speaker and battery system, making it the stronger value for anyone who wants to take smart glasses outside in Singapore's weather. The eight-hour typical battery life, 48-hour charging case and identical 12 MP camera with 3K video mean you are not giving up anything for the tougher build.

Best if you want a display

Rokid Glasses (RV101)

Among the products sold in Singapore, only the Rokid Glasses (RV101) include a visible display via dual-eye monochrome Micro LED optics at 1500 nits, which supports real-time AR navigation on top of camera and AI features. The trade-off is a higher price of SGD 848 at Challenger Singapore, and a 30-degree field of view that is useful for information overlays rather than cinematic or immersive use.

Not worth buying here yet

No clear pick

Neither the Meta Glasses (own-brand, from USD 299) nor the Xiaomi AI Glasses (from 1999 yuan) is sold in Singapore through any official channel. Until either acquires a confirmed local price and a clear path to purchase with Singapore-local support, neither can be recommended to a buyer here regardless of their respective specifications or price advantages.
