Image stabilisation
Correction that reduces the shake in video, either by moving parts of the camera or by processing the footage.
Image stabilisation reduces the wobble in recorded video caused by the camera moving. Optical stabilisation shifts a lens element or the sensor to compensate physically. Electronic stabilisation does it in software, cropping into the frame and shifting the image to hold it steady, which costs a little of the field of view and some resolution.
Why glasses lean on it
A camera worn on the head moves constantly, with every step and every turn to look at something. Without correction, walking footage is close to unwatchable. Frames are too thin for the moving parts optical stabilisation needs, so glasses generally use the electronic kind, and manufacturers often state it only for particular resolutions and frame rates rather than for all recording modes.
