AI glasses
Everyday glasses with a camera, speakers and microphones built in, and an assistant you talk to instead of a screen you look at.
AI glasses are ordinary-looking spectacles or sunglasses with a camera, small speakers and microphones built into the frame, connected to an assistant you reach by speaking. Most have no display at all: you ask a question or give an instruction, and the answer comes back as sound. They are also sold as smart glasses or camera glasses, and the three names generally describe the same kind of product.
What separates them from a headset
An AI glasses frame is meant to be worn all day and to look like eyewear, so it carries no display optics, a small battery and very little computing power of its own; the heavy work happens on a paired phone or on a remote server. A mixed-reality headset does the opposite. A small number of models sit between the two by adding a simple heads-up display for captions and directions, which is a different product from a headset with full augmented reality.
