AI smart glasses in Singapore: what they are and how to choose

AI smart glasses are ordinary-looking glasses with a camera and an on-board AI assistant built in, so you can capture what you are looking at and ask an assistant for help without reaching for your phone. Some add a small display in the lens; most do not.

What separates them from other glasses

This category is narrower than it first looks, and three different products are easy to confuse:

• AI smart glasses, the models on this site: a voice assistant and a camera, usually with open-ear audio, in a normal frame.
• AR display glasses are built around a screen for watching video or working, often tethered to a phone or computer. A camera and an assistant are not the point, and we do not track them.
• Audio glasses are open-ear speakers in a frame, with no camera and no assistant. Several brands sell an audio-only pair right beside their camera model under a similar name, so the name alone is not enough to tell them apart.

One model we track, the Rokid Glasses (RV101), does add a small monochrome display for navigation and captions; the rest are camera-and-audio only. Even so, none of them is an AR viewer for media.

What to look at when choosing

• Display or no display. Only one model here has one. A display helps with navigation and live captions, and it costs more; field of view explains what the number means.
• Camera. Photo and video quality vary across the catalogue, so check the specification on each product page.
• The assistant, and whether it works in English. The AI matters as much as the hardware. Some assistants are built for their home market first, so confirm English support for the model you want.
